Limerick Kerry Charity Cycle 2011

• experience the thrill of finishing a 88 km / 55 mile cycle?

If you can answer “Yes” to any of the questions above, then you are invited to participate in the Limerick Kerry Charity Cycle. The nominated beneficiaries of the event are the Brothers of Charity Services, Listowel, Co. Kerry and the Brothers of Charity Services, Newcastle West, Co Limerick.
The event will take place on Easter Monday, April 25th 2011. Sign in facilities will be available from 10.30 am and the cycle will start at 12.00 pm.
It will follow routes in West Limerick and North Kerry.

The registration fee of €30 includes your charitable donation.
There will be no sponsorship card for this event.

The event offers cyclists the choice of two cycle routes – the Coastal Route (88 km / 55 miles) and the Athea Loop (42 km / 26 miles).

Participants are asked to register on this website no later than Saturday, April 23rd 2011.

Brothers of Charity Services

Listowel
The Brothers of Charity Southern Services is a major voluntary organisation, which provides age related residential, educational and day services for people with intellectual disabilities, autism and communication disorders throughout the Cork and Kerry area.
Brothers of Charity Early Intervention Services, Listowel are situated at 5 Hollytree Drive. The aim of our services is to provide support to parents and families of children with an intellectual disability from birth to six years of age. This service aims to maximise the child’s full potential by providing therapy and intervention. This service is provided by a multi-disciplinary team to children and families in Listowel and the North Kerry catchment area.

Newcastlewest
The Brothers of Charity Services, Newcastle West provide day and residential services for adults with an Intellectual Disability in West Limerick.
It aims to create an environment for people with Intellectual Disability which, recognising each individuals needs and abilities, will help all the people in the service community to realise their full potential to become contented independent members of society.
It offers people a varied range of programmes and activities which include Information Technology, Gym Activities, Walking Club, Arts and Crafts, Supported Employment, Work Activities, Numeracy and Literacy Training, Social Skills Training, Catering and Horticulture.
